PURCHASING MANAGER


About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead our procurement operations and deliver maximum value across our supply chain. You'll develop procurement strategies, manage supplier relationships, and ensure we get the best quality goods and services at competitive prices while maintaining compliance and operational excellence.


What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives and cost-saving targets
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal contracts, pricing, and terms
  • Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships, monitoring performance on quality, delivery, and compliance
  • Oversee daily purchasing operations, approve purchase orders, and manage procurement systems (SAP, Oracle, Coupa)
  • Collaborate with production, logistics, and finance teams to ensure seamless supply chain efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with legal regulations, company policies, and ethical procurement standards
  • Lead and mentor the purchasing team, setting clear objectives and monitoring KPIs
  • Report on procurement performance, market trends, and cost savings to senior management


What We are Looking For


Essential:

  • 3+ years of procurement or supply chain experience, including 1+ year in a managerial role
  • Proven track record in supplier negotiation, contract management, and strategic sourcing
  • Experience with ERP/procurement systems and data analysis tools
  • Strong negotiation and analytical capabilities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Leadership ability with experience developing teams
  • Financial and commercial acumen
  • Understanding of supply chain management, logistics, and contract law


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, or related field
  • CIPS certification or MCIPS status highly desirable
  • Master's degree (MBA or MSc in Supply Chain Management) advantageous
